OPEN CAMP POSITIONS FOR SUMMER 2019, Leavenworth WA

SEEKING INTEGRAL DEVOTED WORLD CHANGERS

Hey you!  Yeah, you with the inquisitive mind, compassionate heart, and perennial dirt tan.  I want to tell you about a place called Lake Wenatchee YMCA Camp, located near Leavenworth, WA.  Where do I begin?  I could start with the  many activity offerings, extensive website or our commitment to transforming lives, empowering youth and changing our world.  I could dabble in the theoretical underpinnings (servant minded leaders, nonviolent communication, intentional speech) or the demographics (450+ campers, 40 staff, cats, dog, deer, the occasional moose).  But that’s only the beginning! We house you, feed you and support your leadership skills. Cabin Leaders Part rock star, part super hero, you’re a youth development professional who cares about kids, loves the outdoors and is adored by campers! 


Lifeguards - Lifeguard Certification, excellent leadership skills and swimming ability are required.  Keep lives safe this summer and look cool with zinc on your nose!

Arts and Crafts Coordinator – Glitter!  Friendship Bracelets! Tie Die!  Paint and Glue!  You’ll have so much fun and the kids will too!

Multi Media Coordinator – You bring our camp to the WORLD!  Share pictures and video of camp by creating content on social media and in print.


Program Specialists – Archery, Low ropes, GA GA, theme day planning, group games leaders extraordinaire!

Counselor Development Program Leader  – 21+, WFR, excellent leadership skills and outdoor wilderness camping experience a must!  You’ll be training our future camp counselors!

Counselor Development Program Director  – 21+, WFR, excellent leadership skills and outdoor wilderness camping experience a must!  You’ll be training our future camp counselors!

Teen Director – 21+, excellent leadership skills a must!  You’ll be developing leadership skills in our future camp counselors in training!  #Coolestpersonatcampandnotafraidtoshowit!


Trip Director -  21+, WFR/WFA, excellent leadership and planning skills, outdoor living/camping experience a must!   You may inspire the next Bear Grylls!

Waterfront Director - 21+, Lifeguard Certification, excellent leadership skills, and 6 weeks previous open waterfront experience a must! Come be our Mitch/Michelle Buchannon!

Camp Cooks – Everyone at camp loves the cooks!  Feed the masses while earning your black belt in Ninja pancakes this summer!

Head Camp Cook or Assistant Camp Cook

Kitchen Assistants – Food Prep, dishwashing, bacon stretching and the best part…cookie testing!

Maintenance Assistants – Be the star of Dirty Jobs, Camp Edition!  You’ll be our very own Scotty (Star Trek) or Bob Vila (This Old House).  From grounds keeping to fixing the things we break and cleaning things we get dirty you keep camp looking fabulous!                

Volunteer

If you are passionate about serving a cause and concerned about our valley, the Wenatchee Valley YMCA is seeking your help! We strive to provide services to ALL in our community and need your help on the Board of Directors, committees and raising funds so no child is denied access. What you will get in return is not only fulfillment of serving the community through the Y but also leadership skills, strategic relationships, non-profit management, community assessment skills, strategic planning, governance and above all- appreciation!!
